The time for this year's Annual Signature Fundraiser Gala for the Maui Arts & Cultural Center (MACC) is coming up fast on Friday, August 18th. If you haven't attended before, it's more than a fundraiser. The event's unparalleled scale makes it the island's premiere food and wine tasting event of the year. The MACC is Maui's forum for keeping our island culture alive, and the arts flourishing throughout the generations. The event gives supporters of this enriching mission a chance to get together for a delightful night of entertainment, socializing with like-minded folk, delicious cuisine and fantastic wine.
The MACC has been providing the Maui community with a world-class venue for events and a magnificent educational center for the arts. Chances are, if you're a resident or returning visitor, you've likely been to one (if not several) of the performances, concerts, exhibits, competitions and other lively community events that take place at this very special location. This night of celebration promises to delight the senses of its guests while keeping the future of the MACC and its mission alive.
The gala has a different theme every year, and 2017 is "Celebrating Plantation Days," which is an era of our history that has shaped the lives of many generations that live here. After Maui's recent end to sugarcane production, a historic industry, that era is held with more tender reverence than ever. It seems the most worthy theme the organizers could have chosen for this year's event.
Maui Calls will take place at the Yokouchi Pavilion and A&B Amphitheater from 6pm to 10pm on Friday, August 18th. Guests will be greeted with a fresh flower lei upon arrival, and serenaded with beautiful Hawaiian melodies. This is the opportunity for everyone to mingle, greet old friends and possibly make some new ones while sampling exquisite pupus (appetizers) created by chefs from some of the finest restaurants on Maui.
The evening will include live entertainment from Jimmy Mac and the Cool Cats, dancing, and the opportunity for guests to participate in both silent and live auctions featuring hundreds of fantastic items like autographed music instruments and unique Maui adventures. Keep in mind that because there will be alcoholic beverages, only guests ages 21 and over are allowed entry, so bring a valid photo ID.
Individual tickets can be purchased for $175, $195, $250, and $500, while tables of 10 are available ranging from $1,950 to $10,000. If you'd like to book a table of 10 or more, Contact Kathy MacGlashan at 808-243-4225 or email email@example.com. Aside from that, all the information you need can be found at www.mauiarts.org, including a link to purchase individual tickets, and to learn more about what comes with each of the ticket pricing levels.
Whether you're on our website because you're a resident in the market for a Maui real estate purchase, or you're a returning visitor and you plan to make a Maui real estate investment, this gala is a rare opportunity to get to know some of the most delightful people in the community. Mahalo!
